PLACEMAT PROJECT

"Color Harmony Adventures" the Placemat Project is an 18-week program designed to teach older adults the principles of color harmony through a series of sequential guided workshops featuring coloring on culture specific placemats using limited palettes. Workshops explore tone and color relationships. exercises include creating tone compositions in black white and grey which form the basis of color harmonies used to color placemats using diverse color schemes from the color wheel including primary, secondary, tertiary, complementary and split complements on designs derived from different cultures. Final placemats are laminated. The program combines demonstrations, hands-on exercises, visual aids and collaborative learning to create a comprehensive and engaging experience.
